With a wide range of colourways, textures, and designs to suit every style, it’s not easy to choose the perfect rug for you.

We asked Sebastian to talk us through his four favourite styles from the new Rug Collection and share what inspires him most about each new rug design.

Featuring the Gambit Check Rug in Caramel and Issho Coffee Table in American Walnut.

Gambit Check Rug

A masterpiece in style, the Gambit Check Rug is reminiscent of the 1970s era with its daring aura and classic check design. For Sebastian, the texture added the finishing touch to this design.

“The semi-shag pile effect really brings the Gambit Check Rug to life.”

Handknotted in pure New Zealand wool, the Gambit Check Rug is suitable for living spaces with medium foot traffic and is available in a choice of three sizes.

Featuring the Tullah Rug in Natural. Styled with the Zaza Sofa, Luna Chair, Issho Coffee Table, and Myco Side Table.

Tullah Rug

Harnessing the beauty of hand-drawn clouds that invite tactile exploration, the Tullah Rug is named after a town in Tasmania that rests below Cradle Mountain.

“The Tullah Rug pattern is inspired by moving clouds, water, and rock formations found at the iconic Cradle Mountain town.” - Sebastian Nash.

Handknotted and crafted from natural, undyed New Zealand wool, the Tullah Rug is available in three sizes and designed for spaces with low-medium foot traffic.

Featuring the Antipodes Organic Rug and Seymour Chair.

Antipodes Rug

Inspired by topography and the naturally beautiful forms and features of land surfaces, the Antipodes Rug features a hand-drawn design created in-house by King Living.

“Texture never fails to enhance aesthetics. Especially when it comes to rugs.” - Sebastian Nash.

Crafted from pure New Zealand wool, hand-loomed, and hand cut with precision, the Antipodes Rug is available in three standard sizes or the unique Antipodes Organic shape.

Featuring the Esperance Indoor Outdoor Rug in linen. Styled with King Cove Outdoor, Monument Rectangle Coffee Table, Luna Outdoor Chair.

Esperance Indoor Outdoor Rug

Named after Esperance Beach in Western Australia, casual simplicity is achieved with natural Australian-inspired colourways and woven herringbone weave that offers gentle texture.

“Esperance Rug is a sustainable rug. The material is created from 100% recycled plastic bottles,” Sebastian Nash.

Perfect for both indoor and outdoor spaces, the Esperance Indoor Outdoor Rug is available in three sizes and three natural colourways, with no dying in the process. Crafted from recycled polyester, Esperance is a fully sustainable rug.

The Antipodes Rug is handcrafted from 100% pure New Zealand wool.

Sustainable rug materials

The 2024 Rug Collection material palette incorporates natural New Zealand wool and sustainable rugs, fully recycled polyester, with a focus on hand-loomed, knotted, and woven techniques.

New Zealand wool rugs

All King Living wool rugs are crafted from 100% pure New Zealand wool, which is known for its naturally soft fibres, longevity, and sustainability benefits.

Wool is a natural, resilient fibre with a luxurious feel underfoot. Wool rugs offer excellent insulation properties, giving warmth in winter and remaining cool in summer. They’re hypoallergenic, and the weave helps to resist dust mites, mould, and mildew naturally.

The rugs in the new collection created with New Zealand wool include:

Recycled polyester

Evoking the beauty of natural fibres, recycled polyester is derived entirely from recycled plastic bottles. Hardwearing and fully sustainable, the fibre is easy to maintain and clean, making it ideal for busy indoor and outdoor living spaces.

The sustainable rugs in the new collection featuring recycled polyester include:

Featuring Lillico Rug in Natural, Tullah Rug in Natural and Bruny Rug in Fern.
